The new Beehive Flag was signed into law by Governor Spencer Cox on May21,2023. The Utah state flag features a large yellow beehive ??thestate?? symbol for "Industry," also its motto ??at its center with red,white and blue running horizontally in the background. The white sectionin the center also makes pointed crests, reflective of the state??mountainous terrain.Utah?? former state flag, referred to as the historical flag, will bepreserved in an elevated form. It will be flown with the new flag at theUtah State Capitol during official ceremonies, special events, andlegislative sessions. As a historical emblem, Utah?? seal will continueto be displayed ??and continue to honor the state?? legacy.
